Many of us are experiencing some chilly temps lately! How does a nice, hot cup of comforting tea sound? If you’ve followed along with my blog posts about tea or are a member of my Tea Time Facebook Group, you’ll know just how much my family and I heavily rely on the feel-good benefits that come with a warm cup of tea. Different blends can help with different ailments – from headaches and cramps. There are even herbal mixes that can help strengthen your mind or calm it down!
Before we started using tea to help with common problems, my family was in a state of disarray. Sore throats or trouble sleeping were recurring troubles. But now, we’re able to create tea blends – some with ingredients picked from our own yard – to help with some of these smaller issues.
For example:
- Peppermint tea has been proven to help with digestive issues, like nausea, bloating, or indigestion!
- Black and green teas are high in antioxidants that can help reduce risk of chronic conditions!
- Chamomile is known for being calming and is great to use for help sleeping, especially when you’re feeling restless!
Though tea can’t help with all manner of health issues, especially not the big ones, it is a good way to help with the little troubles that pop up in everyday life! With enough practice, you can make personalized blends for your kids and families, and even for your friends.
And the best part is – you can grow your own ingredients! Herbs and pine needles are easy to nurture and help flourish, making the tea-drinking experience even more personal!
You’ll find my tea blends regularly featured in our new Fun-Schooling Magazine (my Bright Starry Night blend appears in our Winter issue).
Another favorite drink to combat brain fog and exhaustion is green lemonade:
